FESTIVALS

I plan on going to as many festivals as I can this year. Leeds is a definite. I went last year and had so much fun I can’t wait for it this year. The none washing part was the actually disgusting and I can’t believe the whole time I was there I never showered. But I came through it the other side. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Dry shampoo, wipes and lots of spray is all I would tell you to take. I took too many clothes although I did change everyday I was there and night but still I think I took too many. Food is something I need to remember next time, we ran out by the second day and money we ran out of that too! We had plenty of alcohol though! I warn you the porter loos are the worst experience to be had and they are the nicer of the toilets. You get to hear great new bands and make friends with people you would never meet. It’s definitely an experience I would recommend everyone to experience at least at some point in their life :)

I also want to go to Ibiza Rocks, I’m not sure it’s really a festival as you would think of others but the fact you can lounge all day in the sun and listen to bands without the worry of not washing and the lovely thought of a nice bed at the end of the night is something I’m definitely up for!

MUSHROOM

I’m infatuated with BarryM’s Mushroom coloured nail varnish. I painted my nails with it yesterday afternoon and there is still no chips in sight. It’s such a lovely colour and fits in perfectly with the khaki, browns and camel colours that are around at the moment. Classed as 'Taupe' colour in the Chanel Spring collection and also seen on Sandra Bullock at the Golden Globes. It could been seen as the colour of last year but I think it’s a great conflicting colour to go with all the pastel colours this summer.

Olivia Rubin

Olivia Rubin is one of my favourite designers. She has such a unique way of changing basic designs into her own. The brick print is something that she is known for and I wish I was rich enough to be able to afford one of her t-shirt. That is something I will have to wait for and save up for. As they are £80!!! And I could never ever let myself buy a cheap version.
I love her Spring/Summer 2011 collection. She uses soft pastel colours with a hint of hot pink, orange and even khaki. One of the designs as seen in the image above, at first glance I thought the fabric was a see through mesh but it’s actually khaki, which I would never put together with pink but it actually works really and a combination I will be trying myself this summer.

My new dream.....

I’ve accumulated a new dream. I want to open up a bar in Spain somewhere or a place that is hot. I would call it tea&toast. I could then spend my days relaxing in the sun and gaining a nice bronzing tan and then expend my nights working in my bar and socialising with my friends and meeting new people. I know this is another pipe dream of mine but I think it is a lot more promising than finding a castle for myself to live in. It would be a life of luxury! :)
Image 1 of ASOS Belted Knitted Shorts
I've just ordered some navy knitted shorts. I'm in love with them. I have wanted a pair all winter but never plucked up the courage to actually purchase a pair and now i have :)
They are a comfortable, slocuchy fit which is a style i love. They sit just right on your hips and are not too tight but have the belt to take in at your waist so not to completely loose your figure.

I reaaaaaally want a backpack ♥
They were never seen as cool when i was in high school, you would be classed as a 'nerd' or 'uncool' if you had one, especially if you were wearing one with a strap on each shoulder. Then this one boy started wearing with one strap on each shoulder and as you know its typical high school that everyone started to follow. Making backpacks abit of a trend and the new 'cool' thing to have. I love them aslong as its a nice design like the one in the picture above from ASOS. Although it does make me feel quite american if i had one AND they are much better for your body and posture.
